![]() You said that this mod DID incorporate material from Imperial Assault, but you don't know if it remains. What aspects of your character did he corrupt in the aforementioned statement? Would an earlier and more informal response on the mod's comments not have saved your reputation? The deletion of a Facebook page and the setting of a profile to private strikes me as a quite severe action, one that could have been avoided.ģ. He is an idiot who chickened out of Imperial Assault for literally no reason." I left because he was the type of person who wanted to take credit for everything. I worked very briefly with him on the predcessor to Imperial Assault. With regards to your clause that you may be "jealous or envious is ludicrous and childish", that sort of now-past tangential reasoning primarily stems from the testification of one SpaceNavy, who is apparently your former associate: At some point the concept of the "common good" wrought by a community-made mod (for the community) must override voluntary production of a time-consuming asset such as a mod's content. You have no issue with other teams making Star Wars mods, yet you would be willing to file a DMCA for the unregulated usage of one of your models. Someone could have filed the DMCA in your place or at your call, and yet you could remain innocent by the words of your statement.Ģ. Your first statement strikes me (and certainly, others) as very lawyer-ish. the person "Poison" states that the scout troopers in both mods are of different models, providing ample proof: ![]() Your mod contained some basic equipment, a scout trooper, and I believe a Speeder. You state that you would have if you found it contains things from IA. You state you did not personally file a DMCA against this mod. In the interest of providing a defense of the consensus, I will critique your statements.ġ. yeah, I think some where in there from looking at the post on bohemia interactives forums, the star trek mod was gaining money to and paramount came after them with a lawsuit, not paramount was going after BHI, but after the people tht created the star trek mod who gained 1 million dollars off that mod then lossed it The statement that BHI is responsible for the DMCA comes from the SW:O team. ![]() Many people (such as myself) have been patrolling the comments section for at least two hours looking for any comment by BHI, to no avail. The DMCA claim still remains on the Star Wars: Opposition mod. There is no evidence to suggest that BHI's claim is justified, they have made no comment, and they have both closed at least one Social Media account and rendered one of their steam profiles private as a response to the community's negative response. BHI (Blue Harvest) later put a DMCA claim on the newly-made Star Wars mod, Star Wars: Opposition. BHI never recieved any notice, to our knowledge. They retracted it after the unrelated Star Trek mod recieved action from the actual copyright holders, possibly fearing that they were next. Berlioz:Long story short, BHI made a very thin Star Wars mod for Arma III known as Imperial Assault. ![]()
